Top 5 Cancun Parks

Most of Cancun Theme Parks are a fusion between nature and slides for young and not-so-young visitors; most of them are open throughout the week.

Xel Ha

This all-included park is one of the most visited in the zone. It is a nice location where Xel-Ha river blends into Caribbean Sea and where lots of activities are available.

At Xel-Ha, to snorkel is to be impressed by all the colorful fishes. Other available activities include a tour on a floating wheel, a 30-meters-high slide for adventure-seekers, zipline landing at a river, test your balance on the tightropes zone, and tours to Piedra Valor, a 5-meters-high place from where you can jump into the water.

Xcaret Park

Xcaret is the biggest theme park of the whole area. It was recognized from 2016 to 2018 as one of the best theme parks of the entire world. There, you will find over 50 atractions to enjoy. It is full of history and nature, shows and recreational activities for all ages.

It has underwater rivers where you will be able to explore and dome short excursions, walk through jungle paths, and adventure yourself into mysterious caves. It counts with a children-dedicated space named Adventure Kids where the little ones can enjoy hanging bridges, slides, tunnels, and labyrinths which make this area a dream place for kids.

Xcaret is a tribute to Mexican culture, gastronomy, and nature. It is completely eco-archaeological and has a butterfly farm, aquarium, coral reef, and wild life. It is a good idea to save some energy for its night shows.

It opens throughout the week from 8:30 to 22:00 and is located on Cancun-Tulum highway (km 282), 10 minutes south of Playa del Carmen. Don’t forget to check out packages and promos for special discounts.

Xplor

If you are looking for adventure, adrenalin, and fun, this is the perfect park for you. Xplor is the most visited ziplining park of the entire planet. It’s extreme ziplines, the tallest of the Mayan River reaching over 4 km high, will let you speed up to 30 km/h on heights no less than 45 meters.

At Xplor, you can venture into stalactite and stalagmite full caves. A tour recognized as one of the most stunning and beautiful. You can also use a raft and ATVs to wave around in-jungle paths, underground and open-air streams.

You must save some energy to live Xplor Fuego experience, a nocturn version of the park which starts when the sun sets. As an adventure park, it is highly recommended to bring comfortable clothes and shoes, keep the helmet always on, bring extra clothes and enjoy the whole day. It opens throughout the week from 9:00 to 17:00 and then from 17:30 to 22:30 (Xplor Fuego). It is located over Cancun-Tulum highway (km 282), right next to Xcaret. Ventura Park

It is an aquatic park located in front of the sea. It has attractions for all ages plus dolphin-swim. Within its facilities, there are different worlds for each and every taste:

  • Wet and Wild: An area full of slides and a wave pool.
  • Grand Prix: Go-Karts track around 250 meters long.
  • Fun World: Carrousel and crazy chairs for kids.
  • Underworld: A virtual-reality games area.
  • Ahhh Ventura: Where most adventurers go. Ziplines, bungees, and hanging bridges.
  • Dolphinaris: Swim and interact with dolphins.

It is located on Kukulcan Boulevard, Cancun Hotel Zone. It opens from 10:00 to 17:30 throughout the week. Prices can be verified online. Online reservations may obtain special discounts.

Selvatica

One of the most exciting tours of Cancun and Riviera Maya. If you like adventure and are looking for adrenalin, write Selvatica on your must-visit list. It’s around 133.55 acres wide where you’ll find about 12 ziplining circuits.

This park is located deep in the jungle and doesn’t receive enormous crowds. It also offers hanging bridges and cenotes where you will be able to dive-in and ride ATVs to explore the muddy paths.

Its most popular zipline is named Tanzania, and it is known as an actual human-rollercoaster, which will let you reach 45 km/h on speed while staggering from one side to another. It is located on km 28 of Ruta de los Cenotes, Puerto Morelos, and its open from 9:00 to 17:00 throughout the week. It is recommended to visit their webpage to get prices and promos.
