Cancun Airport protects travelers from COVID-19

New protocols, constant cleaning, sanitization actions, temperature check through AI technology, and equipment for employees are some of the mitigation measures developed by Cancun Airport to protect travelers from COVID-19.

The shuttle between terminals will now operate with strict social distancing rules and sanitizer carpets. Operators wear face screen guard protection, gloves, and masks. This equipment is worn by Cancun Airport collaborators in ticket booths and most areas.

Travelers will find anti-bacterial gel dispensers in all public areas. On elevators and other areas, social distancing marks have been drawn on the floor for guidance.

For the sake of Cancun Airport collaborators and immigration officers, temperature control and protective equipment are available; including gel dispensers, face screen protection, masks, and gloves.

Cleaning and sanitization are now more constant in all areas. Protocols have been strengthed.

Upon arrival and before departures, travelers must fill a risk factors survey.

There is a Temperature Control Station with dual vision thermo cameras and the latest tracking technology to isolate any possible case.

All security checkpoints and lines are covered with social distancing marks.

Personal item trays and equipment are constantly cleaned and sanitized too for travelers’ safety.

All commercial areas follow strict hygiene and social distancing rules.

AI-controlled Heat Motion Sensors and Tracking are installed all across the airport to keep an eye in of the most identifying factors of COVID-19.
